1.) I think I followed the rule of simplicity quite well because there is only one subject in the photo.
2.) The subject is the student sitting down and studying his journal.
3.) Yes it is very clear what the subject of the photo is.
4.) I think this is a very good picture for simplicity because there is only one subject.
