Elements present on a well designed newspaper page



Headlines: is the text indicating the nature of the article below it.
Subheadlines: an additional headline or title that comes immediately after the main headline or title
Lines: The actual story in the Paper
Boxes: Items in a border to give it prominence.
Photos: Part of a story that give a visual aspect
Teaser: Eye-catching graphic elements on Page One or section fronts that promotes an item inside the newspaper.
Folios: Name, date, and page number that appear at the top of every page of the newspaper.
Captions: Text accompanying a picture
Stories: a story of any length, usually in a straightforward style and go into detail about what's happening in current life.
Bylines: The author's name, usually at the beginning of an article.Jumps: Continuing a story from one page to another.
Story dividers: Story that starts and ends on the same page, but in different locations.
Screens: A pattern of tiny dots used to create gray areas or to screen a photo is to turn it into a halftone.
Infographics: Short for informational graphic. Any map, chart or diagram used to analyze an event, object or place.
Masthead/staff: Details of the publisher, place of publication, editorial staff and information about the newspaper, usually on the editorial page.

Other high school newspapers

1. My favorite is the eagle eye issue 3, because I really thought it was an intriguing cover photo.
2. The Eagle Eye because the photo was very alluring.
3. "Lighting the Last Flame", I thought it sounded really cool and seemed very symbolic.

5. They all had main stories on the front page and at least one major photo about the subject.
6. Not all of the papers are alike, some have different structures, like some have multiple stories on their from page while others have only one.

Front Pages of the World

1. My Favorite Newspaper was the Sudwest Presse, i liked it because it was a very simple and easy to follow format.

2. My favorite headline was the " Machtwechsel in Kiew". I liked this because it interested me and I wanted to know more.

3. There are seven

4. They all have one large story and one large picture. They also have multiple side stories that do not take up as such space.

5. Basically the things that change are just the format of the page, and the sizes and numbers of stories.
